Salish Sea Playing Cards.
The Salish Sea Playing Cards were created with the intention of teaching K-12 students and community members about ecology and food webs of the Pacific Northwest and the Salish Sea. Each card value corresponds to the species’s place on the food chain. For example, phytoplankton are 2’s and are the base of the food web while higher numbers such as face cards are various predators at the top of the food web. Ace’s represent decomposers which complete the “cycle” of life.
